Coach Peyton Petersen

Peyton Petersen was raised in Dallas, Texas and began her volleyball journey by playing for her high school team and a premier volleyball club in the area. She later attended Virginia Commonwealth University on a volleyball scholarship as an outside hitter. During her collegiate career Peyton was a recognized player and scholar athlete by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. After receiving a B.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism she continued to graduate school while serving as an assistant coach first at the University of New Orleans and then at the University of Montana – Billings where she completed a M.Ed. in Sports Administration. Over the next several years, Peyton continued to grow her competencies and love of volleyball by coaching both Division I men and women at Cornell University, the United States Military Academy-West Point and Indiana State University.

Upon settling in the Fulton-Montgomery area, Peyton became involved at the junior and high school levels while coaching for Fonda Fultonville Central School and also with the Caroga Lake Volleyball Club. In an effort to aid local talent in gaining a broader volleyball experience, she worked with the IREVA High Performance program instructing girls in both tryout and camp processes throughout the region. Peyton enjoys working with athletes of all ages and is well versed in developing successful volleyball players at the junior, high school and collegiate levels.
